I've been pretty lazy today. But, that's okay sometimes. It did snow Friday night. We started work about 2:30 and shoveled until the banks closed. I stayed in town and we started again Saturday morning from about 4-7 for me. We had the 1st round done when I had to leave so I didn't feel too bad. I tell ya, I think I deserve the day off today. My shoulders hurt a lot yesterday and I got my behind kicked at TKD(literally) . I didn't go to bed until 9:30 but I was wiped out.
You know, I keep thinking about when I was little if we had big snow storms we stayed home for a couple of days because it took them that long to clean up all the roads. Now you are snowed in, maybe, overnight and the next day it's life as normal. And that's ok.
So,what did I do today? I finished the hat I was making, I finished my brother's Christmas present, made some paper ornaments for the windows and the tree, and made a tree out of a magazine. Saw that on Martha Stewart.
What didn't I do? I didn't make cookies, I didn't workout, wash clothes, clean anything, or take a shower. :P
But, tomorrow is a new day. I'm getting a massage and I will make cookies and I will workout. And maybe work on Christmas cards.

Day 2
Today I did a short workout because I will probably be shoveling snow this afternoon for work. :P
Jump rope: 6 min
Sparkpeople butt blaster video on YouTube: 6 min
Bodyrock: 100 side step-ups, 50 on each side
Left side: 2min 26.1 sec
Right side: 2min 42.1 sec
The bodyrock was supposed to be 300 on each side. I'm going to have to work my way up to that. I also did them on a shorter stool instead of a chair because I am rather short. If I don't shovel tonight I'll do some more exercises. Promise. :)

Workin'out.
I get laid off every winter and I find it a challenge to stay active while I'm laid off. So, I think that this year I'm going to keep track of what I do on here. Because I have a few different resources for work-out and I don't know how to record them all together elsewhere. (Yes I could do paper, but I'm not going to.)
So today I jumped rope to warm up and then did my Sparkpeople workout (sparkpeople.com), and I just started following bodyrock.tv, so I did their workout too.
My spark workout was a full body workout. Crunches, lunges, squats etc. My personal dislikes are push-ups and anything to do with my triceps, 'cause they're hard. But I made myself do them and I did 30 push-ups and about 40 tricep dips. Which is a personal best. I'm hoping if I keep doing them all winter I won't lose my muscle mass from the summer.
The Bodyrock workout was 10 high knees and then drop to the floor and explode up for 1 rep and to do 60 reps for time. I used my ipod to track and recorded each set of 10 reps as a lap to see if I start losing momentum during the exercise.
Lap 1: 1min 30.7 sec
Lap 2: 1 min 28.9 sec
Lap 3: 1min 43.5 sec(I think I lost count on this lap and I may have done an extra rep)
Lap 4: 1min 29.9 sec
Lap 5: 1min 26.4 sec
Lap 6: 1min 34.5 sec
Total time: 9min 14.2 sec
I don't think I did too bad.
Any way, we will see if I can move very well tomorrow. I have a feeling my legs will hurt from the lunges. :P

I'm Back! For the winter. :)
I got laid off this week. It's OK. I'll be going back in the spring AKA February. So, I thought I would show you my Goulash. :) This is the kind of goulash that I grew up with. I've been looking for a recipe for this for awhile. But, every time I look for a recipe online I find Hungarian Goulash. It looks like it would be delicious but, not what I feel like eating right now. I did use a different kind pasta then I would normally use. Rigatoni instead of macaroni (because I need to go grocery shopping). Pasta's pasta though, right? :)

Workout!!
I love Sparkpeople. If you haven't heard of it, it's a fitness website. It really helps me get rid of a lot of the excuses I use to not workout. I'm not in terrible shape and I do go to 2-3 TKD classes a week, but when I'm at home I have a very hard time convincing myself to do something besides Face book. I just did about an hour of the videos that are on You Tube. And it feels really good! They also have a nutrition tracker and that has made me realize how lacking in nutrients my diet is. Refined carbs, anyone? I even bought a multi-vitamin to take. I'm trying a gummy one because the hard ones make me sick. I still have to figure out how to get enough calcium, though. Don't tell me to drink milk. I'm really not a big fan of that.

Tired!!!
I had a good workout weekend. Our regular Saturday workout at the main school and today's workout in the cities. Oh, and I went Salsa dancing Friday night.
I really need to work on my front leg kicks and closing the distance better when I'm fighting someone taller(which is all the time). Oh, and combos! :P Oi, I'm tired! Kind of wears you out, these 2 hour workouts. I love it though. :)
